Director Hong Jae-chul to Lead the Charge for K-Media Entertainment’s Global Expansion

Director Jae Cheol Hong, who has built innovative content production experience both in Hollywood and global theme parks, has officially embarked on the globalization of K-media.

Recently, as the planning director for the ‘Inspire Media Art Exhibition,’ Director Hong achieved successful results and plans to lead the way into the global market through a new entertainment business that combines realistic media art with Korea’s excellent intellectual property (IP). Director Jae Cheol Hong has been recognized for his unique and innovative content planning capabilities by successfully leading globally notable projects such as the Marvel Attraction, SeaWorld, China Ocean Kingdom, and the Macau Dome Theater Tiger.

Based on this rich experience and network, he plans to grow startup K-Media Entertainment into a global entertainment company targeting not only the domestic but also the international market. The first major project is the domestic expansion and global entry of a complex entertainment space based on realistic media art utilizing the latest hologram and augmented reality (AR) technologies.

Beyond a simple exhibition, it plans to combine various elements such as F&B (food and beverage), K-performance, and sports to provide an interactive immersive experience differentiated from existing projection mapping or LED screens.

Especially targeting the North American and Southeast Asian markets, it is expected to become an opportunity to introduce the essence of Korean entertainment to foreign visitors. The second business is a diversification strategy for discovering Korean webtoon and novel IPs and distributing them to the global market.
