Regarding Jungkook, Lee Jae praised, “He sings very well,” adding, “It’s important to sing well, but conveying the lyrics is also important. He does very well when singing.”

He continued to highly evaluate Jungkook’s ability, saying, “He conveys and expresses melodies very well with his voice.”

The song Golden, composed by Lee Jae, achieved worldwide popularity, topping the Billboard chart. Lee Jae said, “This feels like a dream. It doesn’t feel real,” and reflected, “I cried a lot while recording Golden. There were many difficult things at that time. I put some of my story into the song, and there were many parts I could empathize with the character Lumi.”

He continued, “The song lifted me up. Singing it gave me confidence and hope.”

Lee Jae recalled his time as a trainee at SM Entertainment. He said, “After ending my trainee life, it was very hard. I started making beats since then, and it was healing. As a human, sometimes it’s inevitable to lack confidence. Music heals and energizes me.”

He also revealed his future goals and ambitions, saying, “I want to create songs as an artist and grow as a composer. I want to work with composers I respect.”

The OST Golden from KDDH marked a record by achieving 8 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard main singles chart ‘Hot 100’. Golden is seen as a strong contender for major awards next year. It has currently been submitted for the Best Original Song category at the Oscars and the 68th Grammy Awards.
