Cyber Rekha ‘Delusion Rehabilitation Center’ operator received a 3-year suspended sentence and a fine of 200 million won.
According to News1 on the 15th, the Incheon District Court’s Criminal Division 11 (Judge Kim Saet-byeol) sentenced A, the operator of the Delusion Rehabilitation Center, to 2 years in prison and 3 years of probation for defamation and insult charges under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
A fine of approximately 200 million won was also imposed. A is accused of defaming 7 people, including IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, by producing false videos from October 2021 to June 2023.
A is also accused of posting insulting videos for 5 of them, causing obstruction to the agency’s business.

The court stated, “Defamation results in irreversible damage to victims, hence it needs to be punished strictly.
The defendant repeatedly slandered famous celebrities or posted provocative content on a YouTube channel, earning a significant profit, thus bearing heavy responsibility,” they critiqued. However, the court considered that A admitted his wrongdoing and was reflecting, and had deposited a total of 60 million won to the victims, including 20 million won for Jang Wonyoung, in deciding the sentence.
However, it stated the reasoning behind the sentence was taking into account “A admitted and reflected on his wrongdoing” and “made a total deposit of 60 million won to the victims, including 20 million won for Jang (Wonyoung)”.
