Yanggu Cultural Foundation, Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition Enjoyed with the Belly Button Festival

The Yanggu Cultural Foundation, in conjunction with Crown Haitai, will present a special exhibition Dog Life Sculpture Exhibition – Animal Garden in connection with the ‘2025 Belly Button Festival held from 29th to 31st.

 

The Dog Life Sculpture Exhibition(見生 彫刻展) is a representative cultural contribution project by Crown Haitai aiming to expand the base of modern sculpture since 2016, with Dog Life(見生)’ meaning seeing brings vitality.

 

This exhibition is staged across the entire Seocheon Leisure Park, where the Belly Button Festival occurs, integrating with performances and parades of the festival, offering various experience programs. Visitors can naturally encounter the sculptures amidst the vibrant festival atmosphere, transforming the outdoor space into a cultural garden where art and festivities coexist.

 

With works like Jo Yoon-hwan’s 「Dream of the Earth」, Jeong-ae Park’s 「Field’s Illusion(), and Cho Young-chul’s 「Ostrich」, a total of 16 artists contribute to transforming the outdoor space into an art garden. The artworks will continue to be displayed until mid-October, allowing tourists and residents to enjoy them even after the festival ends..

 

Choi Jin-hee, Secretary-General of the Yanggu Cultural Foundation, stated that it is significant as people can enjoy high-quality sculptures amidst the festive spirit of the Belly Button Festival, adding , “we will continue to provide various exhibitions and programs to expand experiences of encountering art in everyday life for residents and tourists.
