[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Kim Ye-eun = In the new JTBC reality show ‘Dog Kindergarten’, Kang So-ra, who joins as a teacher for the ‘Dog Wellness Kindergarten’, expressed strong responsibility, saying “Trust and leave it to us. We will repay you with a definite output.”
Kang So-ra joins as a teacher in JTBC’s new reality show ‘Dog Wellness Kindergarten’, which airs every Sunday at 10:30 AM. She said, “What remains in my memory are the dogs who had difficulty opening up in an unfamiliar environment and slowly opened their hearts,” promising a special bond with the dogs.
She especially promised to offer a special experience that encompasses fun, emotion, and healing by saying, “Please look forward to the happy restaurant ‘Dog Wellness Kindergarten’.” Below is a Q&A with Kang So-ra.
1. We are curious about your first thoughts when you received the offer to appear and why you decided to join.
– The concept of “Dog Kindergarten” seemed very interesting. Since it’s a reality show with dogs, I was also looking forward to fulfilling my personal desires. I had an experience where I slightly imitated my dad training before, but I was worried that I might be a burden since I hadn’t received professional training.
2. Please tell us what a companion dog means to you.
– In the world of pets, is there another that offers unconditional love like dogs do to their owners? Even if I don’t walk them often, or dress them nicely, or do anything properly for them, I wonder if I deserve such abundant love from a dog that looks at me as if I’m the only one in the world.
3. As the number of single-person households increases, it is said that the biggest concern for pet owners is the pet left alone after going to work. What is your biggest concern regarding your pet?
– Fortunately, I lived with my parents, so I didn’t have concerns about a dog left alone. However, for single-person households raising a dog, not only external help but various other conditions must be considered. Many already know this, but I hope they realize in advance that having a dog is a very happy journey with many responsibilities.
4. Is there anything you’ve realized or gained through ‘Dog Wellness Kindergarten’?
– Compared to other participants, everyone was truly ‘Dog Kindergarten Teachers’ to the extent that it was difficult for me to be called a pet owner. Through ‘Dog Wellness Kindergarten’, I was able to learn much about dogs from the trainers, which was great.
5. Is there anything you specially prepared before the shooting? What was your mindset before shooting, and what was the most different after you started shooting?
– Although I trained in advance at the ‘Dog Kindergarten’, the real thing was different. I was flustered because the proper output did not come out as I learned, but as I adapted to unpredictable situations and learned new things on-site, I realized life is a real battle.

6. If you have memorable bonding moments with the dogs, please share.
– What remains in my memory is the process of the dogs, who had difficulty adapting to the strange environment and opening up, slowly opening their hearts to the teachers. Watching their hesitant expressions turn to confidence as they came to class and their barks grow stronger as they expressed themselves made me grateful for the comfort they found at the kindergarten and with the teachers.
7. If there’s an episode you remember from filming, could you share a little?
– I remember adjusting the water temperature and carrying water while setting up a pool for a rainy day, and the retriever friend enjoying so much that he didn’t want to leave the water. The gradual opening up of a particular dog friend was touching, and the cute but brave moments of small friends are also highly memorable.
8. Please pinpoint a must-watch point and say a few words to the audience.
– I will repay the guardian’s trust with a definite output. Please trust and leave it to us. We aim for clear goals and pursue happy growth. Although it’s a kindergarten for dogs, I worked with the mindset of caring for my family. Please look forward to the happy restaurant ‘Dog Wellness Kindergarten,’ filled with fun, emotion, and healing.
