The stills released ahead of today’s (13th) first broadcast reveal the secret of Kang Marie’s (played by Ha Seung-ri) birth, drawing attention.
Lee Poong-joo (played by Ryu Jin), Kang Min-bo (played by Hwang Dong-joo), and Jin Gi-sik (played by Gong Jung-hwan) are standing in front of a sperm extraction room, arousing curiosity about why they visited this place. In particular, Min-bo is with his wife Ju Si-ra (played by Park Eun-hye), implying that they are desiring a child.
However, after Marie is born, the family begins to shake. Eventually, Min-bo leaves the crying young Marie, and Si-ra holds onto Marie, saying, “There is no daddy now,” adding curiosity to the hidden story within the family.
20 years have passed since Min-bo left Marie, and now grown up dreaming of becoming a doctor, Marie receives an envelope of money from someone, her eyes widening in surprise.
Due to her family, who constantly cause trivial troubles, she is always short of money and cannot ignore the envelope. What could the meaning of the envelope she will encounter at the hospital be?
Interest is gathering on how daughter Marie, who has become a slave to capitalism, and the three dad candidates Poong-joo, Min-bo, and Gi-sik, will be intertwined, and who Marie’s real dad is. With the expected storms Marie will face due to the three dad candidates, anticipation for the first broadcast is increasing.
Announcing the birth of a new-concept family, KBS 1TV’s ‘Marie and the Strange Dads’ airs its first broadcast today (13th) at 8:30 PM.
