Singer Lee Hyori (46) has recently opened a yoga studio in Seoul and started giving classes herself, which has become a hot topic, and reviews from students are gaining attention.
On the 25th, the Instagram of Lee Hyori’s yoga studio features several shared reviews from students.
One student wrote, “Feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. My legs feel circulated and the swelling has reduced, feeling great.” Other students commented, “Ananda, the teacher, is very strict. Beginners don’t get a break. Thanks to her, my shoulders are fully open,” and “She helps us focus on practice. I felt more focused on Ananda the teacher’s class than on Lee Hyori the celebrity.”
Lee Hyori married singer Lee Sang-soon in 2013 and lived in Jeju Island for over 10 years before moving to a house in Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, last September.
Recently, she opened a yoga studio named ‘Ananda’ in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, and began classes from the second week of this month. ‘Ananda’ is Lee Hyori’s yoga alter ego name, which she has also tattooed as part of revealing her identity.
The yoga pose ‘Tree Pose’ (Vrksasana) is creating a small challenge craze among students. This is because students are taking photos imitating a full-body panel of Lee Hyori in this pose in the yoga studio and posting them on social media (SNS).
Previously, Lee Hyori showed her friendly side as a studio owner by personally responding to questions from prospective students, saying “It’s okay even if you’re stiff. Beginners are more than welcome.”
