[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Seoyeon Jeong = JTBC ‘Hundred Memories’ has released its second teaser video, summoning everyone’s first love hidden in past memories. The fluttering heart of Kim Dami, who first meets the man she believes to be fate, Heo Nam-joon, tickles the heart just by watching.
The new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Hundred Memories’ (written by Yang Hee-seung·Kim Bo-ram, directed by Kim Sang-ho, produced by SLL), which will premiere on September 13 (Saturday) on JTBC, is a newtro youth melodrama set in the 1980s, depicting the shining friendship of bus guides Young-rae and Jong-hee on the 100-bus, and the poignant first love surrounding their destined man, Jae-pil.
The video released today (19th) captures the girl-like sensitivity of Young-rae (Kim Dami) as she begins her first love due to Jae-pil (Heo Nam-joon), who suddenly enters her life, which was all about studying and working.
Young-rae, wearing a beret and uniform, wakes up at 4 a.m. to start the day first as a bus guide. Although she is the responsible K-eldest daughter who takes care of her family’s livelihood, she is also a youth just beginning to ripen, laughing at rustling leaves, getting sentimental in the autumn rain, and having her heart flutter in front of a handsome student.
And at the moment when Jae-pil appears in front of Young-rae, who was waiting for a destined love, a brilliant and fresh prelude to first love opens.
This video begins with the excited gaze of Young-rae who falls in love at first sight with Jae-pil, who wraps her injured hand with a towel.
Young-rae cherishes the towel so much that no one else can use it, prompting even rookie guide Jong-hee (Shin Ye-eun) to notice the start of love by saying, “Can’t help but feel like it’s a guy, right?” Even though Young-rae denies it by saying, “I don’t know him,” her shy smile reveals her pounding heart.
Thus, Jae-pil appears in front of Young-rae, who has always dreamed of destined love, and stays by her side during difficult times. His warm care, as he rushes to help when her mother is sick and presses a hat onto her head so she can cry to her heart’s content, makes Young-rae’s heart beat even harder.
The constant presence of Jae-pil during both happy and sad times makes Young-rae increasingly sure that “perhaps this person might be my destiny.” Particularly, in the scene where Jae-pil approaches Young-rae as if to kiss her, the excitement unique to first love reaches its peak.
Whether Young-rae’s first and destined love can come true raises anticipation for the first broadcast.
The production team expressed, “This teaser video aims to capture the thrill of first love and fate-like love that youths of the time had.
We hope that viewers can feel the emotions of Young-rae, who blooms with a pure love, unexpected and unplanned, with Jae-pil, and that the fresh and sincere newtro youth melodrama created by Kim Dami, Heo Nam-joon, and Shin Ye-eun will summon the memory of a first love residing in the viewers’ hearts.”
Meanwhile, ‘Hundred Memories’ is a work by writer Yang Hee-seung, who has consistently delivered life dramas with depth by capturing both empathy and humor in works like ‘Hit-and-Run Scandal’, ‘Once Again’, ‘Familiar Wife’, ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo’, and ‘Oh My Ghostess’. Director Kim Sang-ho, who has simply depicted our life, which can be happy yet sad, and sad yet amusing, enhances immersion with his direction in ‘Thirty, Nine.’
Following ‘Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of Lawyers’, it will air its first episode on September 13th (Saturday) at 10:40 PM on JTBC.
