[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Seo-yeon Jung = JTBC’s ‘Love Me’, which confirmed its first broadcast on December 19th (Friday), announced the return of the master of melodrama by revealing Seo Hyun-jin’s first emotional still cut.

JTBC’s new Friday series ‘Love Me’ (directed by Jo Young-min, written by Park Eun-young and Park Hee-kwon, produced by SLL·How Pictures) portrays the story of a somewhat selfish, perhaps more ordinary family, who begins to grow as each starts their own love.

Seo Hyun-jin plays obstetrics and gynecology specialist ‘Seo Joon-kyung’ who has neglected her deep loneliness in an enviable daily life and is set to deliver a deep emotional performance.

Doctor Joon-kyung, who faces daily the birth of life and the joy of families. However, she is a person who has been saying she’s fine being alone. 7 years ago, after a lightning-like incident struck her family, she couldn’t be honest with anyone, thus forming relationships became difficult for her.

Joon-kyung, who locked herself in ‘solitude’, shines to others as someone capable of doing anything yet is withering from unresolved loneliness. Even with a brief character description, Joon-kyung evokes a chilly winter.

The released still cuts perfectly meet the expectations of ‘Love Me’ prospective viewers. While the previously released teaser poster hinted at warmth and excitement, the Joon-kyung in the still cuts released today (13th) digs into the chest with an eerie atmosphere sinking deep like winter air.

However, there is a noticeable change in Joon-kyung’s face, close to expressionless, where loneliness and emptiness could be felt, piquing curiosity.

A look of affection towards someone and a lingering smile on her lips were captured. Though her heart might be in the midst of winter, internally, Joon-kyung was likely waiting for a warm spring day more than anyone else. It’s intriguing to see what love she relearns amidst the quietly approaching excitement.

This work, above all, draws attention as it marks the comeback of ‘melodrama master’ Seo Hyun-jin. After 7 years since collaborating with JTBC in ‘Beauty Inside’, Seo Hyun-jin, known for her roles in ‘Temperature of Love’, ‘You Are My Spring’, ‘Why Her?’, and ‘Trunk’, has been offering viewers life dramas with her masterful acting that naturally delves into the characters’ inner worlds.

Her unique sensitivity that allows even the smallest emotions to permeate the screen raises expectations on how she will depict Joon-kyung’s quiet cracks and recovery flow in ‘Love Me’ this time, and what life character she will create.

The production team said, “Joon-kyung appears strong on the outside, but she is a person left with time stopped inside,” adding, “Seo Hyun-jin delicately captures the tremor of expression and the nuances of breath for that stopped time. The moments when the heart starts moving again will be calmly conveyed through Seo Hyun-jin’s acting.”

They continued, “We hope you feel that warm sentiment seeping through the cold of winter together.”

Meanwhile, ‘Love Me’ is based on the Swedish original series of the same name created by Josephine Bornebush.

It has also been remade with the same title ‘Love Me’ in Australia by BINGE/FOXTEL. ‘Love Me’ will air its episodes 1-2 consecutively on December 19th (Friday) at 8:50 PM on JTBC.
