[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Seo-Yeon Jung = ‘Spirit Fingers’ has captured the hearts of global viewers, demonstrating the strength of K-Youth Healing Romance.

‘Spirit Fingers’ (Directed by Cheolha Lee / Written by Yoonjung Jung·Iji Kwon / Original Webtoon by Hanki Police / Produced by Number Three Pictures·MI·Kenaz) is based on the globally loved popular webtoon of the same name, and it is continuing to achieve explosive reactions overseas simultaneously with its domestic airing, leading a global hit parade.

According to global OTT Rakuten Viki, ‘Spirit Fingers’ entered the weekly top 10 viewer ranking in Europe, the Middle East, Oceania, and India in just its first week of airing. It especially anticipated remarkable popularity by ranking first in the weekly ranking in Southeast Asia.

The upward trend continued into the second week of airing, maintaining its top position in Southeast Asia and rising into the top 10 weekly rankings in all regions including the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, and India, officially embarking on a global success route.

The overseas popularity of ‘Spirit Fingers’ is analyzed as a result of the solid global fandom of the original webtoon continuing directly into the drama, combined with fans’ voluntary relay recommendations and word-of-mouth on SNS.

The unique warm sensibility of the well-made healing romance and the actors’ fresh and excellent performances, faithfully capturing the charm of the original, have resonated with both existing original fans and new viewers.

This drama centers around the growth story of a very ordinary high school student, Wooyeon Song (Jihoo Park), who discovers her own color by meeting the unique drawing group ‘Spirit Fingers’ (hereafter “Sping”) members.

A protagonist recovering self-esteem, and the warm relationships of Sping members positively influencing each other, are blending along with a fresh romance, providing deep empathy and healing to viewers worldwide.

In particular, the recent broadcast depicted a thrilling mutual confession as Wooyeon and Gijeong (Joonyoung Jo) resolved intersecting misunderstandings and confirmed each other’s feelings, garnering even more interest.

On SNS, reviews like “It’s a healing drama that heals the heart”, “Perfectly warm and fun without love triangles or villains”, and “Transferred the charm of the original webtoon as it is” are pouring in, creating voluntary word-of-mouth due to the completeness of the work and its positive story.

The production team said, “We are grateful to global fans for empathizing with the warm comfort, positive energy, and actors’ lively performances that faithfully capture the charm of the original of ‘Spirit Fingers’ beyond borders”, adding, “The word-of-mouth parade that the global fandom is directly creating is very meaningful”.
