[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Kim Ye-eun = EBS ‘Seo Jang-hoon’s Neighboring Millionaire’ achieved the feat of winning both the Best Program and Best Writer awards in the Entertainment TV category at the 2025 Korea Broadcasting Awards.
On the 3rd, EBS’s ‘Seo Jang-hoon’s Neighboring Millionaire’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘Neighboring Millionaire’) PD Kim Min-ji and writer Lim Jung-hwa attended the 52nd Korea Broadcasting Awards ceremony held at SBS Prism Tower and enjoyed the joy of winning.
The Korea Broadcasting Awards, hosted by the Korea Broadcasting Association (Chairman Bang Moon-shin), is a prestigious awards ceremony that selects the best programs and individuals in terrestrial news, cultural, drama, and entertainment shows aired over the past year.
This year, 29 works in 24 categories for the Best Program Award and 18 individuals in 20 categories for the Best Personal Award received honors. Among them, ‘Neighboring Millionaire’ was highly evaluated and selected as the winner in the Entertainment TV category for “highlighting the lives, philosophies, and secrets of success of neighbors who have achieved economic success, shedding light on the true meaning of wealth and forming a social consensus across generations.”
Regarding the Best Writer Award, it was praised for “delicately illuminating the issues of the times and elevating the dignity of Korean broadcasting content.”
In her acceptance speech, PD Kim Min-ji said, “‘Neighboring Millionaire’ is a broadcast that conveys not just visible assets but the values, philosophies, and meaning of sharing behind millionaires,” and added, “Meeting various millionaires every episode was a joy in meeting good adults of this era. It is meaningful as it seems the sweat and efforts shared together have borne fruit.”
She continued, “I sincerely thank the production team who struggled together, the 12 millionaires who willingly shared their life stories, and senior Seo Jang-hoon who maintained the program’s core with a sharp and warm perspective. I also want to express gratitude to Jonathan, who participated in Season 1.”
Meanwhile, ‘Neighboring Millionaire’ returns with regular programming, thanks to viewers’ enthusiastic responses. Having established itself as a representative cultural entertainment show in Korea through Season 1 in the first half of this year, it is set to visit households with an upgraded scale and a glamorous lineup of characters.
