The Military Manpower Administration requests an investigation into Song Min-ho’s ‘inadequate service’ by the police… “Re-servicing if necessary.”

The Military Manpower Administration has requested an investigation into Group Song Min-ho, who is accused of negligent duty as a social service agent. It is reported that the Administration intends to cancel the discharge order and require re-service for the period of inadequate service, even if Mr. Song has already been discharged following the police investigation results.

Song Min-ho served as a social service agent at the Mapo Resident Convenience Facility in Mapo-gu, Seoul, starting in March last year, and was discharged on the 23rd.

However, allegations of ‘service negligence’ arose, with claims that he did not properly report to work and was excluded from all duties. In response to the growing controversy, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon stated, “I have ordered an ’emergency full-scale investigation of the actual conditions of social service agents’ duty’ targeting Seoul and affiliated agencies,” and added, “We will take stern measures based on the investigation results and, if necessary, propose system improvements to the Military Manpower Administration for fair military duty obligations.” Reporter Kim Ji-hye jahye2@edaily.co.kr
