[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Seo-yeon Jeong = Kim Gun-woo successfully transformed his acting through ‘Last Summer’.

In the KBS 2TV weekend mini-series ‘Last Summer’ (Directed by Min Yeon-hong / Written by Jeon Yu-ri / Produced by Monster Union, Slingshot Studio), which airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM, Kim Gun-woo is passionately playing the role of Seo Su-hyeok, a highly successful appellate court lawyer with a 99% success rate. His multi-dimensional performance, oscillating between coldness and warmth, has been praised by viewers.

Seo Su-hyeok (played by Kim Gun-woo) is portrayed as a competent lawyer who stays by the side of his client Baek Do-ha (played by Lee Jae-wook) with rational and cool judgment. Kim Gun-woo perfectly embodies the character’s professionalism, excellently depicting the charismatic ‘brainy man’.

Particularly, his unique habit of filling nine bingo squares during trials adds details to the character and enhances immersion.

Su-hyeok, who seemed to be filled only with coldness, gradually takes an interest in an unprecedented plaintiff, Song Ha-gyeong (played by Choi Seong-eun), openly expressing his attraction, and creates an exciting love triangle involving Do-ha and Ha-gyeong’s 17-year-long history.

Above all, Su-hyeok gave heartfelt advice to Ha-gyeong and listened to her words, showing the essence of a ‘mature man’. Additionally, the scene where Su-hyeok confesses to Ha-gyeong saying, “Let’s date. As adults. Let’s have a relationship, us” was enough to evoke a flutter in viewers.

However, after a short romance, when faced with Ha-gyeong’s declaration of separation, Su-hyeok couldn’t hide his bitter feelings, evoking sympathy.

Su-hyeok’s attitude during the breakup process marked the highlight of Kim Gun-woo’s image transformation. With a mature demeanor, respecting the other party’s sincerity and willingly taking a step back for the love of Do-ha and Ha-gyeong, Kim Gun-woo portrayed these emotions with deep sensitivity.

Moreover, presenting Su-hyeok, who considers others before his feelings, convincingly, elevated him beyond just being part of a simple love triangle into the most mature adult male character.

Through the role of Seo Su-hyeok, actor Kim Gun-woo, who has showcased a soft and gentle charm instead of the intense image he has previously displayed, draws attention to how he will deepen the drama with his acting in the remaining broadcasts.

Meanwhile, the 11th episode of the KBS 2TV weekend mini-series ‘Last Summer’, heading towards its finale, will be broadcast on the 6th (Sat) at 9:20 PM.
