YouTuber Park Wi recently expressed his anticipation for a day when he can walk together with Song Ji-eun, a former member of Secret, as they are now married. On the 30th of last month, a video titled ‘The day I’ll stand up on my two feet is near!!’ was uploaded on the YouTube channel ‘Wiracle’.
In the video, Park Wi mentioned the wearable robot developed by KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) for individuals with paraplegia, saying, “I thought these things would be fascinating if they came into the world, but it has become a reality.”
“I imagine running to Ji-eun,” he said.
He continued, “The robots developed so far have the inconvenience of requiring a person with paraplegia to manually wear the suit, but this robot mounts itself even when you stay still,” expressing his admiration.
He also added, “I think it would be great if this robot becomes significantly more compact with increased battery capacity for longer usage. I thought such things would be fascinating if they came into the world, but it’s surprising that it could become reality.”
Additionally, he said, “I hope the government shows interest and provides a lot of support so that we can be the first country in the world to introduce and distribute this technology globally.”
Park Wi married Song Ji-eun on the 9th at a location in Gangnam, Seoul.
Earlier in May, Park Wi personally announced the news of his marriage to Song Ji-eun through his personal YouTube channel, stating, “I’m very excited about our future.
I really want to show that we can live happily.”
Meanwhile, Park Wi sustained a full-body paralysis diagnosis after a fall from a building in 2014 that fractured his cervical spine.
