Im Jae-beom appeared as a judge on the new JTBC entertainment program ‘Sing Again 4’, which aired its first episode on the 14th.
Im Jae-beom, who joins as a judge in ‘Sing Again 4’, following ‘Sing Again 3’, joked about the nickname ‘judging prodigy’ by saying, “I am saddened by suddenly becoming a veteran,” and further explained his judging criteria by saying, “Just like in Season 3, I will continue to offer advice on what I want to say or feelings I experience. I will keep supporting until the end.”
Im Jae-beom, now an ‘experienced judge’ and ‘2nd-year student’, did not hold back sincere evaluations and advice, understanding and empathizing with the participants.
As the first round started in earnest, Im Jae-beom expressed empathy with participant number 57’s pressure and burden, saying, “If it were me, I would be too nervous to do it. I would have forgotten all my lyrics.” Regarding participant number 51’s stage, he said, “You did your own thing. I am grateful for that. Even though it might not be an easy music genre for the MZ generation, I hope you continue to stay and maintain the balance,” offering support.
With added experience, Im Jae-beom also showed his presence with humor and wit in his evaluations. When participant number 67 from the ‘Sugarman’ group performed ‘This and That’ displaying rap, singing, and performance, he made people laugh using an old viral phrase, “Not a human being.”
Describing the ‘Song to listen to in secrecy’ as a ‘song so breathtaking that breath shortens’, he stated, “When I see idols still active now, it’s amazing, but participant number 67 even did it alone. Done so well, I look forward to the next song.”
Furthermore, Im Jae-beom gave heartfelt advice to participant number 61, who received an ‘All Again’ from the ‘Real Unnamed’, saying, “You did very well, and there may be those who would try to add other techniques or teach you other skills, or as you live, people who might try to imprint their habits on you, but don’t accept it. I wish to see you continue walking with a pure girl’s dream intact.”
He offered high praise to participant number 65, saying, “I wasn’t going to say this this season, but you did really well.”
On the other hand, to participant number 37, who declared himself as the ‘Ambitious Man’ and received ‘7 Again’ for his free-spirited stage, Im Jae-beom gave an honest evaluation, saying, “This is a genre I don’t know at all. The emotion I felt at the end was like wet paint. Is it just a surface coat, is it right? I couldn’t figure it out and ultimately couldn’t press again. Please don’t feel sad and sincerely do your best to achieve your dream,” drawing attention.
Meanwhile, Im Jae-beom released the second pre-release song ‘When You Come’ from his 8th regular album on various online music sites at 6 PM on the 14th.
Additionally, the national tour concert ‘I Am Im Jae-beom’ begins its grand journey for the 40th anniversary with performances in Daegu on November 29, Incheon on December 13, Seoul on January 17 and 18 next year, Busan on January 24, and Suwon on January 31.
