[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Seo-yeon Jeong = Myeong Se-bin is portraying the portrait of contemporary wives in the drama ‘Kim Manager’s Story of Living in Seoul and Working at a Major Corporation’.
In the JTBC weekend drama ‘Kim Manager’s Story of Living in Seoul and Working at a Major Corporation’ (Directed by Cho Hyun-tak, Screenplay by Kim Hong-gi, Yoon Hye-sung, Produced by SLL, Drama House, Baro Entertainment), Myeong Se-bin takes on the role of Park Ha-jin, a housewife who is touching the hearts of housewives with her 100% relatable daily acting.
In the drama, Park Ha-jin is a housewife who has diligently supported her husband Kim Nak-soo (played by Ryu Seung-ryong) on his way to becoming a major corporation manager. Although she devoted herself to her family by giving everything, as Kim Nak-soo’s promotion becomes uncertain and retirement preparation becomes challenging, she jumps into the workforce.
Especially, Park Ha-jin’s presence in bridging her husband Kim Nak-soo and son Kim Soo-gyeom (played by Cha Kang-yoon), which sustains the family, captured attention.
While showering Kim Nak-soo with compliments to uplift him after returning from work, she also grounds him with a stern warning, “Our marriage life is now in season 2,” when his bravado went too far.
Despite dreaming of a new path, when her son Kim Soo-gyeom faces opposition from his father, she offers warm support and encouragement, saying, “It’s okay for a child to do that.”
To prevent their son from resenting his father, Park Ha-jin represents Kim Nak-soo’s feelings while also quietly listening to Kim Soo-gyeom’s concerns, indicating her affection for her family.
Park Ha-jin’s effort to make the family stronger did not stop there. Wishing to plan the future with her husband and son, she decided to take on the real estate agent exam, spurred by a bet with her sister Park Ha-yeong (played by Lee Se-hee).
As she must pass both the 1st and 2nd exams in one go to quickly obtain the license, curiosity rises on whether Park Ha-jin will pass the real estate agent exam and prepare for her own retirement.
The daily life of Park Ha-jin, who enters the workforce for the sake of her beloved family, is portrayed even more engagingly through Myeong Se-bin’s delicate emotional acting.
When acting as her younger self, the natural Seoul dialect enhances the historical context, and her chemistry with family and sisters offered abundant fun. Thus, anticipation builds for Myeong Se-bin’s passionate performance in depicting the struggle of the irreplaceable character Park Ha-jin within the family.
The 5th episode of JTBC’s weekend drama ‘Kim Manager’s Story of Living in Seoul and Working at a Major Corporation’, showcasing Myeong Se-bin’s representation of the heartfelt sentiments of great contemporary wives, will air on the 8th (Saturday) at 10:40 PM.
