MBC’s new drama ‘Undercover High School’ script reading site was revealed. The upcoming MBC new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Undercover High School’, scheduled to air in February, is about the comical adventures of a National Intelligence Service agent who goes undercover as a high school student to track down the missing gold bars of King Gojong. The script reading site brought together the leading actors of ‘Undercover High School’.
Director Choi Jung-in and writer Lim Young-bin, along with actors Seo Kang-joon (as Jeong Hae-seong), Jin Ki-joo (as Oh Soo-ah), Kim Shin-rok (as Seo Myung-joo), Jeon Bae-soo (as Ahn Seok-ho), Lee Seo-hwan (as Kim Hyung-bae), Jo Bok-rae (as Go Young-hoon), Yoon Ga-i (as Park Mi-jung), Kim Min-joo (as Lee Ye-na), Park Se-hyun (as Ahn Yoo-jung), and Shin Joon-hang (as Lee Dong-min) came together. With a mix of excitement and tension, the script reading began, and the actors showcased a colorful performance parade from the start, creating a joyful atmosphere. First, Seo Kang-joon, who plays NIS domestic team leader Jeong Hae-seong, captivated the audience with his sharp charisma fitting for an NIS agent while seamlessly blending into his high school student character.
Additionally, there was rising anticipation regarding Hae-seong’s storyline as he goes undercover as a student conducting investigation. Jin Ki-joo perfectly executed the role of a Korean history temporary teacher, Oh Soo-ah, capturing everyone’s attention.
She portrayed the bright and bubbly nature characteristic of her role, creating an even more lively atmosphere on set.

The character Soo-ah, played by Jin Ki-joo, is expected to provide thrilling enjoyment with her special teacher-student chemistry with Hae-seong. Kim Shin-rok, playing the role of Seo Myung-joo, chairman of Byeong-mun Foundation and Byeong-mun High School, showcased her veteran acting skills.
She made a bold acting transformation by adjusting the pace and tone of her voice, exuding coolness, along with delicate facial expressions. Besides, the outstanding performances of Jeon Bae-soo, Lee Seo-hwan, Jo Bok-rae, Yoon Ga-i, Kim Min-joo, Park Se-hyun, and Shin Joon-hang, who all possess solid acting skills and charm, left a deep impression. After completing the script reading, Seo Kang-joon said, “I think it’s a work where you can experience a variety of emotions, including fun, moving moments, and laughter.”
Jin Ki-joo added, “Like MBC, a meeting of good friends, I will do my best to continue bringing joy to the viewers the more we meet.”
