[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Kim Ye-eun =  STAYC’s Sumin is expanding her activities by debuting on the screen.

Sumin is set to appear in the movie ‘Gwishi’ (directed by Hong Won-ki), which is scheduled to be released on the 17th, taking her first steps as rookie actress Bae Su-min.

The movie ‘Gwishi’ portrays a chilling story about people who try to acquire what they don’t have, in a ghost trading market ‘Gwishi’, which opens when the fox window opens.

Sumin will play the role of Soo-yeon, the daughter of Hye-jin (played by Seo Young-hee), who is determined to send her daughter to a prestigious university, putting everything on the line to step into the forbidden market ‘Gwishi’.

Sumin plans to realistically depict the character Soo-yeon, an exam student obsessed with grades and university entrance exams, elevating realistic anxiety into a chilling sense of horror.

In her first acting challenge after debut, Sumin is set to display a different charm than on stage by expressing a delicate yet intense emotional line.

There is interest in how Sumin, who has been loved for her bright and confident energy, will complete her character in the horror genre with her own color.

STAYC has recently concluded their world tour ‘STAY TUNED’ in 8 cities in Asia successfully and will continue to perform in 10 cities in the U.S. starting from October.

Additionally, through various activities including participation in music festivals and award ceremonies, they have established their presence as the representative ‘Summer Queen’ of the season.

Meanwhile, Sumin, who will unfold her potential as a rookie actress through ‘Gwishi’, is expected to make her mark in various fields in the future.
