Actor Ryu Soo-young shared his thoughts on taking on his first business venture through ‘Street Food Vendor’. On the 7th, a production presentation for JTBC’s new entertainment show ‘Street Food Vendor’ was held at the Stanford Hotel in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The event was attended by Ryu Soo-young, Fabric, Hwang Kwang-hee, Shin Hyun-ji, Bae In-hyuk, CP Kim Min-seok, and PD Kim So-young.
Jeon So-mi did not attend due to her schedule. Ryu Soo-young said, “In Cadiz, southern Spain where we went, there were no Korean ingredients or Korean restaurants.
There are many places in Europe I also don’t know.
I had to prepare Korean food there, but there was nothing to shop for,” he explained, “In the past shows, I only needed to make servings for a few, and create new Korean dishes, but this time I had to make 100 servings each time, and we went shopping and prepped as soon as filming ended every day.” About the difference from other cooking shows, he stated, “What I can say for sure is that (in other cooking shows) there is a podium and the kitchen is hidden.
But ‘Street Food Vendor’ has food bikes, so there’s nothing like that,” adding, “(While cooking) people asked me questions, grabbed food while I was cooking, and there were many customers who just demanded the food outright.
That feeling was very new,” adding, “Europe isn’t just sophisticated; rather, there are more people who are warm and family-oriented than us.
If it’s really delicious, they would bring their family back.
I’m confident it will be a show that showcases a new side of Europe.

Ryu Soo-young and the Italian chef Fabric, who became well-known through Netflix’s entertainment show ‘Black & White Chef: Cooking-Up Class Wars’, come forward as chefs, with Hwang Kwang-hee, Shin Hyun-ji, Bae In-hyuk, and Jeon So-mi supporting the business. ‘Street Food Vendor’ will air its first episode on the 8th at 10:40 PM.
