[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Kim Yae-eun = Highlight’s Lee Gi-kwang showed extraordinary determination in ‘Run to Live 2’.

Lee Gi-kwang appeared as a ‘new face’ on MBN’s marathon entertainment show ‘Run to Live Season 2’ aired on the 1st.

On this day, Lee Gi-kwang expressed confidence, saying, “My hobby is exercising. I enjoy running alone and believe I’m good at it.” He added, “Once I start something, I finish it. I don’t want to lose.”

Lee Gi-kwang then underwent a skill test ahead of his challenge in the half-course of the National Naju Marathon. Notably, he participated in a team event rather than an individual event, and competed in ‘Run to Live’s first-ever team competition with two men and one woman.

Lee Gi-kwang, who reportedly runs 10km in 52 minutes, easily won a 100m sprint race against other participants, showcasing his muscular build and agile skills that drew admiration. He then placed second overall in interval training, following Lee Young-pyo.

Additionally, Lee Gi-kwang moved viewers by offering an ice pack and shielding Im Soo-hyang from the sun with a cone, showing kindness within the crew.

He also expressed trust in Lee Young-pyo, saying, “Running with Young-pyo hyung releases dopamine and gives me pleasure. I plan to follow him with confidence, feeling I can achieve anything if I just follow him.”

Lee Young-pyo, in turn, accepted Lee Gi-kwang as his protégé and recognized his abilities. With Lee Young-pyo’s trust, Lee Gi-kwang ultimately placed first in uphill running training.

After completing a successful test, Lee Gi-kwang joined a team with Lee Young-pyo and Jung Hye-in at the Naju Marathon the next day. There is growing curiosity about the results of Lee Gi-kwang’s challenge, which began with a stable pace, to be revealed next week.

Meanwhile, Lee Gi-kwang is actively working as the main dancer of Highlight, an actor, and an all-around entertainer.

He is currently the MC of the web entertainment show ‘I’m a Colmaro Season 3’. Highlight, to which Lee Gi-kwang belongs, released the fan song ‘RAINBOW’ to commemorate their 16th debut anniversary last October and is currently meeting fans through various performances.
