[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Seo-Yeon Jeong = ‘The 4th Love Revolution’ Kwon Young-Eun, Min-Seo, Lim Seong-Kyun, Lee Ji-Hye boost the fun tension in a chaotic campus romance.

On the upcoming November 13th (Thursday), the first release of the WAVVE original ‘The 4th Love Revolution’ (Directed by Yoon Seong-Ho·Han In-Mi, Screenplay Song Hyeon-Ju·Kim Hong-Ki and creative group ‘Songpyeon’, Produced by Storymob·Studio CR·Binge Works, Co-production Investment PONY CANYON) revealed still cuts of the youth from the Department of Computer Science, Hangang University, lead roles Jo Yeon-San (played by Hwang Bo-Reum-Byeol), Yang Na-Rae (played by Kwon Young-Eun), Kang Dong-Won (played by Min-Seo), Ban Ji-No (played by Lim Seong-Kyun), and Um Nan-Sae (played by Lee Ji-Hye) on the 10th.

‘The 4th Love Revolution’ depicts the story of forever single engineering student Jo Yeon-San and million influencer Kang Min-Hak (played by Kim Yo-Han) as they become peers through illogical departmental merger, and the ensuing story. The team projects filled with errors from these two who used to work with completely different operating systems, along with the chaotic romance, awaken viewers’ fluttering cells.

The directing is anticipated to be remarkable with director Yoon Seong-Ho, known for the WAVVE original ‘Going to Cheongwadae Like This’ and ‘Top Management’, the movie ‘The Romance of the Galaxy’ and director Han In-Mi who led a sensational topic with dramas like ‘The Trend is Lisianthus’ and the movie ‘The Lover of All’, partnering up.

Particularly, the production team of ‘Going to Cheongwadae Like This’, which opened a new horizon for Korean black comedy with ironic reality satire, has united once more, drawing attention.

Additionally, the creative group ‘Songpyeon’ including refreshing new writers such as Song Hyeon-Ju of ‘One Week Before I Die’ and Kim Hong-Ki of ‘The Story of Manager Kim Who Works at a Large Company in Seoul’s Freehold’ joined the screenplay raising expectations.

Amidst this release, the image of the trio from the Department of Computer Science at Hangang University in the disclosed photos captures attention. Their stance alone, standing side by side, hints at their united togetherness.

First, the BL maniac ‘Yang Na-Rae’ who dreams of web-novel-like love is played by Kwon Young-Eun. Her main interest is ‘romance’ as someone who has never experienced a proper relationship. She welcomes the merger with the model department while dreaming of good times, yet lacks practical gains. Kwon Young-Eun adds fun by playing Yang Na-Rae, who builds special connections with model department students including Kang Min-Hak through a sly affinity.

Furthermore, Kang Dong-Won’s eyes emitting a strong impression as if he found his target are intriguing. The confident department president ‘Kang Dong-Won’ with a visual and coming-out, is played by Min-Seo.

As a student council president of the Department of Computer Science and an openly lesbian with outstanding girl crush nature, she’s nicknamed ‘Engineering Kang Dong-Won’. She decidedly opposes the departmental merger with the model department showcasing bold actions. The chemistry between Jo Yeon-San, Yang Na-Rae, and Kang Dong-Won – the three musketeers of the Department of Computer Science is expected to add vibrancy to the drama.

Another photo with the intense aura of Ban Ji-No and Um Nan-Sae also catches attention. Lim Seong-Kyun plays ‘Ban Ji-No’, a former ‘Children’s Quiz King’ contestant and Jo Yeon-San’s rival(?).

In childhood, he contested with Jo Yeon-San for class leader but failed miserably; now he’s in a one-sided competition with Yeon-San who doesn’t even acknowledge him. Lee Ji-Hye transforms into ‘Um Nan-Sae’, a unique professor known as the living legend in the Korean Department of Computer Science.

With an enigmatic style, unreadable eye gaze, and a peculiar eloquence, she surprises students in every class. The story of her somewhat mysterious vibe also piques curiosity.

Another character to note in the drama mentioned by director Yoon Seong-Ho includes ‘Yang Na-Rae’ and ‘Kang Dong-Won’. He acclaimed Kwon Young-Eun greatly, saying she is “a perfect actor who shows natural movements and actions whenever ordered for things like singing, dialogue, etc.”.

Additionally, he revealed that “while writing the script, the person who I took as a visual or personality reference for the fiery student council president ‘Kang Dong-Won’ character was actually Min-Seo” and shared that the director’s fan sentiment led to a successful casting, stimulating anticipation.

Meanwhile, ‘The 4th Love Revolution’ will premiere on November 13th (Thursday) at 11 AM on WAVVE and will be simultaneously broadcast in 96 countries overseas including Japan, Hong Kong, China, Russia through major OTT platforms.
