Comedian Park Mi-sun has returned with a healthy appearance 10 months after battling breast cancer. Appearing with short hair, she cheerfully shared her comeback news, saying, “I came to report that I’m alive because there is too much fake news.”

On the preview of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ broadcast on the 5th, Park Mi-sun appeared with nearly shaved short hair. MC Yoo Jae-suk expressed delight, calling her “our dear sister who returned healthy,” to which Park Mi-sun responded with her characteristic smile. Carefully, she shared about the situation during her treatment, saying, “I was going to do radiation therapy after outdoor filming, but when I opened up… this is something I’m sharing for the first time.”

She continued, keeping her humor, “Even when cutting my hair, I said, ‘Don’t I look like Furiosa (the main character from ‘Mad Max’)?’” When Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho found it hard to laugh, she said, “You can laugh,” showing her characteristic ease. Toward the end of the broadcast, she was shown shedding tears and leaving a video message, touching the viewers’ hearts.

Earlier this year, Park Mi-sun was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and suspended all activities. It was known that due to early detection, the possibility of complete recovery was high with only radiation and medication treatment. Subsequently, she canceled appearances on programs with her husband Lee Bong-won to focus entirely on treatment. At that time, her agency Cube Entertainment only stated, “It’s difficult to verify as it’s personal medical information, but she is taking a rest period due to health reasons,” causing many to worry.

The ‘You Quiz’ team announced through the official account, “We really missed you. The first public reveal of Park Mi-sun, who has returned to us,” heralding her comeback. In the released photos, she appeared smiling brightly with Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho. Despite her changed appearance, many poured in support for her cheerfulness, saying, “Short hair suits you very well,” “I’m glad you’re healthy,” and “Now, laugh comfortably.”

Park Mi-sun also halted her YouTube channel activities and left the programs she was appearing on due to her battle. However, after returning through ‘You Quiz’ in 10 months, she said, “I want to thank everyone who supported me during that time,” her eyes welling up. She plans to candidly share about the treatment process, the emotional changes it brought, and the courage to stand on stage again.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women in the country, and if detected early, it is known to have a cure rate of over 90%. Experts emphasize the importance of regular check-ups and managing lifestyle habits for women over 40. Through her experience, Park Mi-sun conveyed, “Before losing health, I didn’t know its value,” and “Now I want to live each day with gratitude and laughter.”

‘You Quiz on the Block’ featuring Park Mi-sun will air on the 12th at 8:45 PM. Her sincere confession is expected to deeply resonate with viewers.
