The group NMIXX has finally topped the music chart. It is an achievement made 3 years and 9 months after debuting as a girl group under JYP Entertainment.

NMIXX’s 1st album title track ‘Blue Valentine’ ranked 1st on the Melon Top 100 chart as of 11 PM on the 20th. Entering at number 2 at midnight that day, it rose to the top in just one day. The song garnered attention by taking first place over Netflix animation ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ OST ‘Golden’.

This result on Melon, known as a ‘concrete chart’ where the top ranks rarely change, holds significant meaning in terms of popularity. Amid evaluations that it’s difficult to achieve with just fan power, responses are pouring in that NMIXX has proven definite musicality and presence.

‘Blue Valentine’, which entered Melon’s daily chart at 85th place on its release day, soared to 10th place on the 19th, marking the beginning of its reverse climb. It topped Bugs’ daily chart on the 19th and was second on the weekly chart, and also rose to the top of the Hanteo Chart Weekly Album Chart (2025.10.13~2025.10.19). Both the song and album have been successful.

This album musically unravels the conflict with a loved one and the resulting mixed emotions. The combination of lyrical melodies and the harmonious vocals of the six members has earned it the title of a ‘fall carol’. Especially, the ‘mix pop’ genre, NMIXX’s signature style, is noted to have developed more finely.

Composers for the album include American artist Stalking Gia, Kass from JYP Publishing, and singer-songwriter Milena, enhancing its perfection. The music video for ‘Blue Valentine’ was directed by Yookwang Hwong, and it received praise for its grotesque depiction of the lights and shadows of youth.

JYP Entertainment stated, “NMIXX has proven its evaluation as a ‘hexagon girl group’,” adding that “there are ongoing reactions that viewers cannot take their eyes off their stage videos.” Indeed, they are actively showcasing the title track and the album track ‘SPINNIN’ ON IT’ on major music shows like Mnet ‘M Countdown’, KBS2 ‘Music Bank’, MBC ‘Show! Music Core’, and SBS ‘Inkigayo’.

Leveraging this achievement, NMIXX is preparing for their debut world tour ‘EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER’. They will kick off with performances at Incheon Inspire Arena on November 29th and 30th, and then proceed with a global tour. Fans are expressing anticipation for their next moves, commenting, “The era of NMIXX has truly begun.”
