[ Asia Economy ] The song ‘New Jeans’ by the group NewJeans has surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, as announced by Adore on the 17th.

“New Jeans,” a track from NewJeans’ second EP “Get Up,” recorded 400,245,638 cumulative streams as of the 15th. This marks NewJeans’ sixth song to exceed 400 million streams.

This song is characterized by its unique composition, which crosses UK garage and Jersey club rhythms. The music video, created in collaboration with the American animation ‘Powerpuff Girls,’ received great attention. It portrays the members transforming into characters to explore an unknown world, combining 3D animation with live action to achieve an original visual style, and it has topped the trending videos on YouTube in the U.S.

NewJeans currently holds a total of 15 Spotify songs with over 100 million streams. ‘OMG’ has more than 800 million, ‘Ditto’ and ‘Super Shy’ have over 700 million, ‘Hype Boy’ has more than 600 million, ‘Attention’ and ‘New Jeans’ have over 400 million, and ‘ETA’ was streamed more than 300 million times.

Additionally, ‘Cookie,’ ‘Hurt,’ ‘Cool With You,’ and ‘How Sweet’ have more than 200 million streams each, while ‘ASAP,’ ‘Get Up,’ ‘Supernatural,’ and ‘Bubble Gum’ have each exceeded 100 million streams. NewJeans’ total cumulative streams on Spotify have surpassed 6.3 billion.
