[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Seo-Yeon Jung = ‘My Precious Star’ Uhm Jung-hwa, Song Seung-heon has splendidly opened the curtain for a chaotic comeback show.
Genie TV original drama ‘My Precious Star’(Directed by Young-Hoon Choi, written by Ji-Ha Park, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by Jumbo Film, Studio Bom) was first released on the 18th with hot response.
The once shiny top star Im Se-ra is nowhere to be found, and Bong Cheong-ja (a.k.a Im Se-ra/played by Uhm Jung-hwa) experiences a humorous period of denial after waking up to find 25 years of her life ‘edited out’.
Above all, Uhm Jung-hwa’s comedic potential exploded properly, Song Seung-heon’s unique chemistry, the enjoyable character play, and the mystery of rapidly changing times all received enthusiastic reactions.
The broadcast began with the exciting first meeting between Im Se-ra (played by Jang Da-a), the ‘national goddess’ who swept Korea in 1999, and newcomer detective Dok Go-chul (played by Lee Min-jae).
Even amid the Im Se-ra craze, junior detective Dok Go-chul was indifferent on his own. However, the situation was reversed when a complainant suddenly appeared at the police station.
Someone had filed a fraud charge of 150 million won against top star ‘Im Se-ra’. Due to pressure from senior detectives, Dok Go-chul embarked on the mission to summon Im Se-ra but faced obstacles since Im Se-ra persistently ignored Dok Go-chul’s calls from 0728’.
Meanwhile, the reality of top star Im Se-ra, which seemed glamorous, was far from easy. Her father, Bong Seok-bong (played by Ryu Tae-ho), was causing accidents, and rival Go Hee-young’s (played by Lee Da-yeon) jealous rivalry continued.
The trouble didn’t end there. Even a politician was secretly approaching Im Se-ra under the pretext of sponsorship. Leaving them came at the cost of giving up the dream film she so desired.
At the worst moment of her life, a call from ‘0728’ Dok Go-chul brought out the emotions she had been holding back.
Dok Go-chul offered clumsy but sincere comfort to tearful Im Se-ra’s complaints. After pouring her emotions out to Dok Go-chul, whom she’d never met, Im Se-ra found peace and promised to appear at the police station.
Im Se-ra’s appearance at the police station was reminiscent of a fan meeting. However, in reality, Dok Go-chul only had a fleeting eye contact with Im Se-ra, and their encounter seemed to end without much conversation.
At the end of that year, Im Se-ra won the youngest actress award and thanked ‘0728’ in her acceptance speech, who gave her great strength and courage. The special bond between Im Se-ra and Dok Go-chul was touching and exciting only known to them.
However, a crisis emerged. Im Se-ra, who always shined at the top, fell into a coma after a car accident, seemingly making Go Hee-young’s curse a reality.
Upon waking up, Im Se-ra faced an unbelievable reality. 25 years were edited out, and it was not the life of ‘national goddess’ Im Se-ra but the life of middle-aged ‘Bong Cheong-ja’ that awaited. This hidden-camera-like reality was just the beginning.
Losing 25 years’ worth of memories was unjust, and the changed world was truly chaotic for Bong Cheong-ja. It was the same for Dok Go-chul (played by Song Seung-heon) as well.
Dok Go-chul started to be very concerned about Bong Cheong-ja, the accident victim claiming to be ‘Im Se-ra’ who disappeared 25 years ago.
The sight of Dok Go-chul being at a loss over Bong Cheong-ja’s childlike tears, begging “Please, let it be a dream,” increased expectations for the rapid-time romantic comedy that would unfold.
Meanwhile, Genie TV original drama ‘My Precious Star’ Episode 2 will be broadcasted today (19th) at 10 PM on channel ENA.
