‘Mr. Plankton’ Woo Do-hwan “Playing a character with a terminal condition, expressing the psychological aspect was difficult”

Actor Woo Do-hwan shared his thoughts on playing a terminal character. On the morning of the 4th, a production presentation for Netflix’s new original series ‘Mr.

Plankton’ was held at Hotel Naru Seoul in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

Director Hong Jong-chan, who directed the series, and actors Woo Do-hwan, Lee Yoo-mi, Oh Jung-se, and Kim Hae-sook attended the event. Woo Do-hwan described his character Haejo as someone who “lives without being able to settle anywhere,” saying, “If I had to define Haejo in one word, it would be wandering.

He walks and acts without purpose.

But it’s not just aimlessness,” he explained. He added, “From the first episode, the first scene, I felt I had to do this work.

But I didn’t know acting would be this difficult.

The 6-7 months of living knowing I was dying were very hard.

It wasn’t easy to contemplate and express the psychology of a person facing death,” he confessed. Meanwhile, ‘Mr.

Plankton’ is a romantic comedy about Haejo (played by Woo Do-hwan), a man mistakenly born by accident, on his last journey of life, forcibly accompanied by the world’s unluckiest woman, Jaemi (played by Lee Yoo-mi).

It will be released on the 8th. Reporter Jang Joo-yeon jang3@edaily.co.kr
