The creator BERRY announced that she showcased a variety of costume transformations through the September issue photoshoot of men’s magazine Maxim.
BERRY, who became a sensation as Korea Maxim’s first married cover model, has previously graced the covers of the May 2020 and September 2021 issues.
After announcing a formal contract with Maxim through the February 2025 issue, she wore various themed costumes like bunny girl, princess, otaku, and nerd girl for the September issue photoshoot.
In the released pictorial, BERRY posed lying on the floor wearing a bunny girl costume, looking at the camera. She also made use of round glasses and goggles as point items with a full-body swimsuit, and used a pinwheel as a prop to express the feel of a Japanese anime character.
Regarding her feelings about the shoot, BERRY said, “I’ve specially prepared boyfriend-type cosplay just for Maxim readers,” and added, “I’m sure there will be at least one style that matches the readers’ taste.”
When asked about her views on cosplay activities, she responded, “The charm of cosplay is that it allows you to say and do things that you could never do in real life by immersing yourself in the character,” and added, “I think it’s a process of finding liberation, confidence, and the self I wanted to express.”
Regarding her plans as Miss Maxim, she stated, “I’m happy to meet Maxim readers frequently through various activities, including having more opportunities for Maxim photoshoots since becoming an official Miss Maxim.”
She went on to say, “In the future, when you meet me in cosplay, I hope you will approach and talk to me openly so I can leave you with good memories,” expressing her ambition by saying, “I want to become a work or a character that brings happiness to someone.”
