(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Lee Tae-soo: Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of ADOR, filed a police complaint against employees responsible for PR at HYBE.

Min’s side stated on the 26th that they filed a complaint against Park Tae-hee, HYBE’s Chief Communications Officer (CCO), and Director Cho of the PR department at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul on charges of embezzlement.

Min’s side claimed that “despite being in positions to promote NewJeans while receiving commissions from ADOR as members of HYBE’s Shared PR service organization, they not only failed to fulfill their duties but also diminished those efforts, causing significant damage to ADOR and NewJeans.”

They added, “We hope for criminal punishment corresponding to their crimes.”

The ADOR incident, which began in April, reached a turning point when NewJeans sent a formal warning resembling a ‘final ultimatum’ to their agency ADOR on the 13th, and Min also left ADOR on the 20th.

In the music industry, there is anticipation that after the 28th, 14 days after ADOR received the content certification, NewJeans might initiate procedures to terminate their exclusive contract by applying for a provisional suspension at court and proceeding to separate from their agency.

At a popular music award ceremony on the 16th, NewJeans added weight to this speculation by saying in their acceptance speech, “We do not know how long we will be NewJeans… but even if we are not NewJeans anymore, NewJeans ‘Never Dies.'”

Min is scheduled to participate in an online and offline talk concert hosted by Hanwha Insurance and Folk on August 6th at 8 p.m., where she plans to give a lecture on the topic ‘Planner Min Hee-jin, Crossing Borders to Become a K-pop Genre.’ There is much interest in whether she will address the ADOR incident during this lecture in the music industry.
