The new KBS 1TV daily drama ‘Mari and Her Unusual Dads’ scheduled to premiere in October (Directed by Seo Yong-soo / Written by Kim Hong-joo / Produced by LI Entertainment, Monster Union) tells the story of Mari’s chaotic journey to find her dad! It’s a drama depicting the birth of an unusual family more tenacious than blood and more persistent than affection.
Today (24th), the production team of ‘Mari and Her Unusual Dads’ released the 3rd and 4th teasers highlighting the characters who will lead the drama.
The 3rd teaser captures the subtle tension among the three dads Lee Poong-joo (played by Ryu Jin), Kang Min-bo (played by Hwang Dong-joo), and Jin Ki-sik (played by Gong Jung-hwan) who are all vying for Kang Mari’s (played by Ha Seung-ri) attention, while the 4th teaser showcases the sweet and exciting moments between Mari and Kang Se (played by Hyun Woo), sparking curiosity about the drama.
“I think cohabitation is better than marriage,” Mari says as she surprises senior medical student Kang Se with the abrupt question “Do you want to live with me?” leading to his bewilderment.
Amidst this, the voices of Ki-sik, Poong-joo, and Min-bo all claiming Mari as their daughter emerge, sparking curiosity about Mari’s sudden acquisition of three dads. Meanwhile, Mari faces a dangerous situation, and the simultaneous gazes of Poong-joo, Min-bo, and Ki-sik on her heighten the tension.
The 4th teaser, released together with the 3rd, shifts focus from Mari’s complicated family background to her relationship with Kang Se. In what appears to be a drunken state, Mari asks Kang Se “Do you like me?” directly, and Kang Se’s bold flirtation hints at an intriguing development in their relationship.
Furthermore, Mari is shown being slapped by her mother Joo Shi-ra (played by Park Eun-hye) who says, “I told you, you have no dad!” This scene elevates expectations for the dramatic story surrounding Mari.
Her voice expressing the struggle “I already have enough with the dad issue, why is the senior acting like this too” predicts a turbulent conflict between love and family, raising interest among prospective viewers.
‘Mari and Her Unusual Dads’ intensifies anticipation for the drama with its solid casting including Ha Seung-ri, Hyun Woo, Park Eun-hye, Ryu Jin, Hwang Dong-joo, and Gong Jung-hwan. Interest builds around the spectacular process of finding the ‘real dad’ and the true meaning of family that will emerge at its conclusion.
KBS 1TV ‘Mari and Her Unusual Dads’ airs as the follow-up to ‘Grab the Opportunity’ and premieres on Monday, October 13th at 8:30 p.m.
