[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Seoyeon Jung = Ha Seung-ri and Park Eun-hye clash over ‘dad issues’.
In the 3rd episode of the new KBS 1TV daily drama ‘Marie and Strange Dads’ (Directed by Seoyong-su / Written by Kim Hong-joo / Produced by LI Entertainment, Monster Union), Kang Marie (played by Ha Seung-ri) and Ju Sira (played by Park Eun-hye) have a mother-daughter war in the middle of the hospital.
Previously, Marie couldn’t hide her troubled feelings after a video call with her dad, Kang Min-bo (played by Hwang Dong-joo). This is because Min-bo announced his return to Korea to discuss Marie’s career path.
If her mom Sira, who after divorce won’t even mention dad’s ‘D’ word, and her grandmother Yoon Soon-ae (played by Geum Bo-ra) find out, they are sure to react explosively. Despite difficultly mentioning Min-bo to Sira, a thorny reaction came back, deepening Marie’s internal conflict.
Meanwhile, ahead of today’s (15th) broadcast, the released stills capture the tense confrontation in the hospital corridor between mom Sira and daughter Marie, drawing attention. Sira’s facial expression, as she clenches her fist and rushes towards Marie, is filled with unfamiliar anger.
Marie, who faces off against Sira starting to question her while holding a note, doesn’t back down easily, further intensifying the serious atmosphere.
Like having been slapped, Marie’s eyes, as she touches her cheek, convey wounds and disappointment as she looks at Sira, arousing curiosity about the rift in what used to be a harmonious mother-daughter relationship.
Meanwhile, Marie gazes somewhere with a bitter and concerned expression, adding empathy to her situation. Curiosity builds over whether Marie will overcome the discord with her mom and escape the reality of being a breadwinning child that confines her.
On the other hand, KBS 1TV ‘Marie and Strange Dads’ episode 3 airs today (15th) at 8:30 PM.
