Announcer-turned broadcaster Han Seokjun (50) confessed his health issues.
On the 30th, Han Seokjun posted on his Instagram starting with, “Thank you for today.”
He revealed, “I suddenly collapsed at home with no memory of last week,” and “When my wife woke me up, I couldn’t tell if I had woken from sleep or returned from death.”
He added, “Blood was everywhere and I couldn’t speak properly. I was rushed to the emergency room where I got a brain scan and received treatment for the tear.”
Han Seokjun recalled the urgent situation, saying, “I am much better now, but looking back, it’s dizzying,” adding, “If my wife hadn’t been there, if I had been alone, if any of the countless ‘ifs’ had been different, this moment wouldn’t exist.”
He expressed gratitude for this moment of breathing today, saying, “I am very thankful for this moment right now,” and expressed thanks to his seniors, juniors, and colleagues who filled the void caused by his health issues.
He continued, “I even attended a lecture with a bandage on my head,” adding, “I am grateful to the many on-site people who were concerned for me.”

Han Seokjun, who joined KBS in 2003 as part of the 29th open recruitment of announcers, left KBS in 2015 and has been working as a freelancer.
