BLACKPINK Lisa won two awards at the ‘MTV Europe Music Awards 2024’ (MTV EMA 2024).
Jimin and LE SSERAFIM also celebrated their respective wins.
The ‘MTV Europe Music Awards 2024’ took place on the 10th (local time) in Manchester, UK.
As pop star Taylor Swift took home four trophies, K-pop artists also shared good news.
Lisa was the winner of two categories: ‘Best Collaboration’ and ‘Biggest Fans’.
Lisa proudly won the ‘Best Collaboration’ trophy with the song ‘New Woman’, collaborated with pop star Rosalía, last August.
BTS’s Jimin was selected as the winner in the ‘Best K-Pop’ category.
This marks the second consecutive year that a BTS member has won the award, following Jungkook’s win in the same category last year. LE SSERAFIM was named the winner in the ‘Best Push’ category.
‘Best Push’ is awarded to the team that delivered the best performance among those featured in MTV’s artist introduction program ‘MTV Push Campaign’ over the past year.
In addition to ‘Best Push’, LE SSERAFIM was also nominated in three categories: ‘Best New’ and ‘Best K-Pop’, confirming their strong performance through this award. LE SSERAFIM was the only K-pop artist to perform on the awards stage, showcasing an impressive performance.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift swept the major categories by winning Best Video, Best Artist, Best Live, and Best US Act.
