[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Han Kyung-hee = On October 25th (Sat) at 9:30 PM, ENA’s new pilot variety show ‘The Exploding Laboratory’ will air for the first time, revealing the taste science chatter scene of Kim Pung, Gwido, Hayoung, Kim Sang-wook, and Lee Kwang-ryeol.

ENA ‘The Exploding Laboratory’ (directed by Song Ga-hee) experiments with the secret of taste by “Why taste good?” scientists whose mouths exploded.

It is the world’s first science mukbang talk show that’s bursting with taste, chatter, and laughter. It goes beyond mukbang variety shows that describe and react to the taste of food, differentiating itself by intellectual exploration of “Why is it delicious?” through the process of establishing and verifying scientific ‘taste hypotheses’.

In particular, it scientifically unravels the everyday life debate of “How to eat it more deliciously?”, delivering intellectual information and fun simultaneously with a friendly topic.

At the first disclosed chatter scene, ‘Dr. Zzuzzup’ Kim Pung, ‘Dr. Expert’ Gwido, ‘Curiosity Doctor’ Hayoung, physicist Kim Sang-wook, and chemist Lee Kwang-ryeol gathered to have a delightful chat transcending taste and science.

The theme at the first chatter scene is meat. With various parts of cow and pig in front of them, the cast scientifically unravel everyday curiosity with hypotheses, such as ‘Why does samgyeopsal go better with ssamjang than salt?’ and ‘Why does the flavor change depending on the meat grilling temperature?’, exploring the secret of taste.

Particularly, Kim Pung showed off his ‘Dr. Zzuzzup’ experimental spirit and verbal skills, Gwido presented clear analysis befitting a communicator obsessed with science, and Hayoung exhibited a feast of intellectual chatter full of her characteristic curiosity-driven reactions.

Moreover, Kim Sang-wook and Lee Kwang-ryeol interpreted taste in the language of physics and chemistry, adding a unique perspective and preparing to guide viewers into the world of ‘delicious science’.

The production team stated, “‘The Exploding Laboratory’ will joyfully and interestingly discover the scientific principles behind the ‘taste’ that we take for granted in daily life,” and “the everyday life-engaging chatter of the cast meeting the intellectual chatter of scientists will provide unique fun and information, elevating expectations.”

‘The Exploding Laboratory’ first airs on Saturday night, October 25th at 9:30 PM on ENA.
