Actor Lee Jong-seok has confirmed his appearance in the new tvN drama ‘Seocho-dong,’ Ace Factory announced on the 5th.
‘Seocho-dong’ is a refreshing and passionate youth drama about ‘office workers,’ specifically associate lawyers, who commute daily to the legal district in Seocho-dong.
It’s a realistic story penned by an actual practicing lawyer, focusing on the growth of lawyers handling incidents that could happen in our daily lives and surroundings. Lee Jong-seok will play the role of Ahn Joo-hyung, a 9-year veteran lawyer with top-notch logical skills.
Joo-hyung became a lawyer simply because logic and cases were entertaining.
From the start, he had no intention to protect the weak, implement justice, or change the world.
Joo-hyung is just a 9-year office worker.
Without a single job change, he’s been at one company for 9 years, with work skills matching his seniority.
He set a new salary record for associates but finds opening his own firm too bothersome and remains a stationary figure in the associate community.
However, cracks begin to form in the fortress of his tranquil ‘office.’ Directing the show is Park Seung-woo, known for his unique imagination and delicate direction in dramas like ‘Kairos’ and ‘Adamas.’
He previously collaborated once with Lee Jong-seok in the past for ‘W,’ earning a substantial award.
Attention is drawn to the synergy between Lee Jong-seok’s reliable performance and the unique, delicate direction.
The script is written by Lee Seung-hyun.
The variety of episodes will unfold through events closely observed and experienced from the intense real life of associate lawyers, as seen by the current lawyer and writer.
‘Seocho-dong’ is scheduled to air in the first half of next year.
