
Recently, comedian Kim Soo-yong, who collapsed during filming, shared a brief update through fellow comedian Yoon Seok-joo.
On the 17th, Yoon Seok-joo revealed on his social media (SNS) that he left a KakaoTalk message after hearing the news that Kim Soo-yong had collapsed. Along with this content, he posted a screenshot of the chat room with Kim Soo-yong. Yoon Seok-joo is a 15th class KBS public comedian and an eight-class junior to the 7th class Kim Soo-yong.
In the disclosed conversation, when Yoon Seok-joo asked, “Hyung, are you okay? I’m worried,” Kim Soo-yong wittily replied, “Fortunately, I didn’t die. I’m back from the dead.”
Yoon Seok-joo then joked, “You saved me the condolence money,” to which Kim Soo-yong also playfully responded, “What a pity,” evoking laughter.
On the 13th, while filming YouTube content at a location in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, Kim Soo-yong suddenly collapsed. After receiving a report, the fire department emergency team provided CPR and other emergency measures before transporting him to a nearby major hospital. Kim Soo-yong was moved to the intensive care unit after overcoming the critical condition and received treatment.
On the 17th, his agency Media Lab Seeso also provided an update regarding Kim Soo-yong. The agency stated, “Kim Soo-yong’s condition has greatly improved and he is currently recovering. Quick response on site ensured he’s able to communicate.”
Regarding his usual health condition, they stated, “There were no special premonitory symptoms or chronic illnesses,” and mentioned they plan to conduct detailed examinations for an accurate diagnosis.
