The 1st Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA) has announced on the 6th that they have partnered with Lotte Innovate’s subsidiary Caliverse to establish the ‘Transcendence Award of the Year’ and will hold votes for the special award, ‘Caliverse, Transcendence Award of the Year,’ until the 12th. Started from the 1st, the ‘Caliverse, Transcendence Award of the Year’ is awarded to artists loved by global fans for their music and performances that transcend age, gender, generation, and borders.
The artist with the most votes during the voting period will be selected as the winner.
Fans can participate in daily voting from November 1st to November 12th on the voting page of Caliverse’s official website. An event will also be held for participants to win 150 tickets for the red carpet and awards ceremony stages. The 1st KGMA will be held on November 16th and 17th at the Inspire Arena in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon.
Han Dong-chul PD, known for MAMA, ‘Show Me the Money,’ and ‘Produce 101’, will take charge of the entire production, promising the largest K-pop awards stage ever, reminiscent of a concert.
At the 1st KGMA, which has become a hot topic with group NewJeans member Hani, actor Nam Ji-hyun, and aespa member Winter as MCs, Caliverse will also participate in the opening with content that combines dazzling performances and technology. On the 16th, the 1st KGMA will feature performances by NewJeans, Doh Kyung-soo, TVXQ, BIBI, STAYC, (G)I-DLE, Youngtak, Yoo Hoeseung, Lee Mujin, Lee Youngji, Jeong Dongwon (JD1), ZEROBASEONE, QWER, Taemin, and P1Harmony (listed in alphabetical order). On the 17th, aespa, ATEEZ, Nowadays, NiziU, DAY6, RIIZE, Song Ga-in, NCT Wish, Woogi, Eunice, Lee Chan-won, JO1, CLASS:y, TREASURE, FIFTY FIFTY will grace the stage magnificently.
