MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Judge Lee Han-Young” (planned by Jang Jae-Hoon/script by Kim Kwang-Min/directed by Lee Jae-Jin, Park Mi-Yeon/produced by OH Story, Slingshot Studio), set to air its first episode on January 2, 2026, is a justice implementation regression drama where the corrupt judge Lee Han-Young, who lived as a slave to a giant law firm, returns to 10 years ago and punishes evil with new choices.

In the drama, Ji Sung plays the role of Lee Han-Young, the son-in-law of Hana Law Firm and known as the ‘servant judge,’ while Oh Se-Young plays the role of Yoo Se-Hee, the youngest daughter of Hana Law Firm.

The “Judge Lee Han-Young” team today (3rd) released a two-shot still depicting the subtle relationship between Ji Sung and Oh Se-Young couple, sparking interest in the love-hate narrative they will unfold.

Ji Sung’s role as Lee Han-Young is a judge with a humble background who decided to climb higher and married Yoo Se-Hee, becoming the ‘servant judge’ of Hana Law Firm. Since the relationship was formed out of a desire for money and comfort, there is nothing but cold wind blowing between Han-Young and Se-Hee.

However, after an unexpected accident, Han-Young returns to 10 years ago during his time as a lone judge, approaching Se-Hee with a goal of implementing justice this time. His meaningful smile while holding a phone subtly creates tension and increases curiosity about the development between the two.

Meanwhile, Se-Hee, played by Oh Se-Young, is the youngest daughter of Korea’s top law firm Hana Law Firm, with perfect looks and a conceited personality. Having grown up without lacking anything, her pride is strong, and she is unyielding, quickly turning her back when Lee Han-Young goes against Hana Law Firm’s orders.

Returning to 10 years ago, Se-Hee has a disastrous first meeting with ‘strange man’ Lee Han-Young during a blind date and gradually finds herself falling for him.

As such, Ji Sung and Oh Se-Young will navigate a new start with different purposes in their relationship, which was once full of coldness, and engage in a nerve war surrounding Hana Law Firm, which is deeply involved in request trials.

It raises curiosity about what impact Ji Sung and Oh Se-Young’s complex relationship will bring to the drama.

Meanwhile, “Judge Lee Han-Young” is based on a work of the same name that recorded 11.81 million views for the original web novel and 90.66 million views for the webtoon, totaling 100.47 million views.

Director Lee Jae-Jin, who has shown a sense of direction through “The Banker,” “The Spy Who Loved Me,” “Motel California,” and more, collaborates with Director Park Mi-Yeon and Writer Kim Kwang-Min.

The new chemistry between Ji Sung and Oh Se-Young to be highlighted in MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Judge Lee Han-Young” will premiere on January 2, 2026, Friday night.
