Actor Jo Jung-suk received the Presidential Commendation at the ’15th Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards’.
According to Jam Entertainment on the 1st, Jo Jung-suk recently received the Presidential Commendation at the ’15th Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards’. The ‘Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards’ is the highest government award event in the field of popular culture and arts, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency, with the aim of encouraging those who have contributed to the elevation of the social status of popular culture and arts, the development of popular culture, and the spread of the Korean Wave. Especially, since it is an award selected by comprehensively evaluating various factors such as the period of contribution, achievements in domestic and international activities during that time, contribution to the related industry, social contribution, social reputation, and recognition by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it holds even greater significance. Since debuting in the musical ‘The Nutcracker’ in 2004, Jo Jung-suk has shown continuous efforts in works such as the musicals ‘Hedwig’, movies ‘Architecture 101’, ‘The Face Reader’, ‘Pilot’, dramas ‘Jealousy Incarnate’, ‘Hospital Playlist’, ‘The Drug King’, ‘The Original People’, as well as releasing his first regular album ‘Jo Jung-suk’ at the end of August, showcasing his versatile career.
