The story of comedian Jang Do-yeon suddenly declaring ‘immigration’ during a dispute among colleagues draws attention.
On the episode of MBC’s entertainment program ‘Help Me! Homes’ airing on the 16th, the cast decides to explore Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
This episode will delve into how and where broadcasting officials live, exploring Sangam-dong, which houses about 600 broadcasting-related companies.
The exploration is joined by ‘31-year veteran broadcaster’ Hong Seok-cheon, Park Na-rae who has been commuting to Sangam-dong for 12 years, and newcomer Im Woo-il.
They head to the old town area of Sangam-dong, known as the native village. This area was inhabited before the establishment of broadcasting companies, and was once the practice room for comedians from the ‘Comedy Big League’ show.
Park Na-rae, upon discovering a village playground, reminisces and shares an anecdote about Jang Do-yeon.
She said, “During the Comedy Big League days, I had an argument with Yang Se-hyung at this playground. Watching this, Jang Do-yeon cried out, ‘If this continues, I’m going to immigrate,’ while sobbing.”
Yang Se-hyung, hearing this in the studio, also mentioned, “I saw Do-yeon raise her voice only once, and it was then.”
