[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Seo-yeon Jeong = 2025 SBS drama ‘My Perfect Secretary’, tvN drama ‘Gyeonu and Seonnyeo’, 2023 Netflix Korea TV series ranked first in the category ‘It Becomes Night’, and movie ‘Baeksoo Apartment’, ‘Gangryeong: Ghost Play’, etc., I.O. Contents Group, which has presented various popular works in the TV series and movie field, is in the spotlight for producing a new concept ‘Seasonal AI Drama’.
Based on a new direction of story-centered AI content and an approach that utilizes AI technology as a creative partner in AI narrative expansion, AI dramas ‘Soon, It Becomes Night’ and ‘Soon, It Goes to Work’, composed of 10 episodes of 5-minute length each, are gaining anticipation as a new format type season AI drama that surpasses the limits of the AI content market.
Recently, with the spread of various contents such as videos, music, webtoons, and games based on generative AI technology, the industry has entered the ‘The Great AI Narrative Era’.
However, compared to the speed of technological advancement, the completeness and narrative depth of AI content are lacking, and the limitation of lacking subtlety in emotional expression has been pointed out.
Especially, in a market where the difficulty of story continuity and character advancement, essential for seasonal world-building IP production, is considered a challenge, I.O. Contents Group’s AI drama presents a new alternative of establishing a sustainable content production process using AI.
‘Soon, It Becomes Night’ is a suspense thriller set in a prison, presenting a solidly cohesive world and story throughout 10 episodes.
From the stage of planning advancement, the AI deep learning process was applied to implement natural emotional acting of AI humans by learning the facial muscle and expression data of real actors. This process was realized in a K-AI cinematic format where AI and human creators participate together in production.
Building on the attractive and solid original story IP that I.O. Contents Group has established over the past few years, combining human narrative precision and AI technology expandability, they completed a production system capable of quickly and continuously expanding ‘Seasonal AI Drama’ IP, with AI content based on stories rather than technology as their motto.

CEO Eun-young Oh of I.O. Contents Group stated, “’Soon, It Becomes Night’, ‘Soon, It Goes to Work’ aims to complete production by the end of November after launching production in 2024 and plans to be showcased in early 2026, accelerating the completion of production. After these two works, a total of 127 ‘Soon,’ series projects are planned to be sequentially introduced.
Through the production of ‘Seasonal AI Drama’ with a solid world and tightly woven storytelling built episode by episode, not as one-off content such as ultra-short-form AI content or AI movies, AI content is planned to be taken beyond being consumed as mass-produced popcorn culture to become projects with sustainable vitality,” expressing the aspirations.
In January 2024, I.O. Contents Group was selected as a representative New Content Company of Korea at CES – the world’s largest International Consumer Electronics Show (ICT Convergence Exhibition) held in Las Vegas, USA, introducing ‘Expansion Strategy of Story IP to AI Content IP’ and ‘Strategy for Expanding from Legacy Content to New Content’ to global partners.
Through the ‘Soon,’ series in the future, they plan to expand Korea’s excellent story IP and AI technology into the global market, ultimately leading the new flow of K-New-Content.[Photo provided by I.O. Contents Group, Inc.]
