Actress Sung Yuri, a former member of the group Fin.K.L, is garnering sympathy as she announces her departure from the home shopping program she had been hosting under her name for 7 months.
On the 1st, Sung Yuri posted a video on her social media (SNS) with the message, “I will remember every moment we shared.” The released video contains some scenes from the GS Shop’s ‘Sung Yuri Edition’ broadcast, revealing her affection for the program.
Return after 2 years amidst Husband’s Legal Controversy
Sung Yuri returned to broadcasting after about 2 years through ‘Sung Yuri Edition’ on April 30th. This program attracted substantial public attention as it marked her first official activity since her husband, a former professional golfer turned entrepreneur, Ahn Sung Hyun, was legally detained on charges of fraud and breach of trust bribery.
Previously, following her husband’s controversy, Sung Yuri had expressed her hope for “the truth about our family’s unjust situation to be revealed” and had halted all her activities. Husband Ahn Sung Hyun’s Appeal Trial in Progress
Sung Yuri married Ahn Sung Hyun, a former professional golfer turned entrepreneur, in 2017 and they welcomed twin daughters in 2022.
Her husband, Ahn Sung Hyun, was indicted on charges of receiving bribes worth several billion won for soliciting cryptocurrency listings (fraud and breach of trust under the Specific Economic Crimes Act) and was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison in the first trial in December last year and was legally detained. However, with the court approving the bail request last June, he is currently undergoing an appeal trial without detention.
