[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Jeong Seo-yeon = Actors Kim Seung-soo, Yoo Ho-jung, Kim Hyung-mook, and So Yi-hyun are raising expectations among prospective viewers by filling the golden lineup of ‘Prescription of Love’.

Scheduled to premiere in January 2026, the new KBS 2TV weekend drama ‘Prescription of Love’ (directed by Han Joon-seo / screenplay by Park Ji-sook / produced by HB Entertainment) is a family makeup drama in which two families, entangled in a 30-year bad relationship, resolve misunderstandings, heal each other’s wounds, and eventually become one family.

Amid rising expectations with the release of the leading lineup including Park Ki-woong and Jin Se-yeon, today (3rd), the golden lineup featuring top actors Kim Seung-soo, Yoo Ho-jung, Kim Hyung-mook, and So Yi-hyun was unveiled, further strengthening the work.

Kim Seung-soo plays the role of Gong Jong-han, the warm and humble president of a just medical clinic. He is a romanticist with unyielding beliefs and a stubborn adherence to his own methods.

Gong Jong-han takes over his grandfather’s hospital on behalf of his father and provides free treatment to the elderly who delay treatment due to lack of funds, but every time deficits accumulate, his fights with his wife Han Seong-mi deepen. It raises curiosity about what episodes Kim Seung-soo will provide with Yoo Ho-jung, living as a ‘weekend couple’.

Yoo Ho-jung plays Han Seong-mi, daughter-in-law of the just medical clinic and a psychiatrist. Han Seong-mi is cheerful and fiery, but also cold and realistic, and she is the best family solution expert of her time, filled with self-love, self-esteem, and social influence.

She faces a crisis when her husband runs for the Merchant Association president while she was revered as an icon of a perfect family and a love evangelist. Attention is focused on Yoo Ho-jung’s performance, who will portray the dual-faced Han Seong-mi character with her own personality.

Kim Hyung-mook takes on the role of Yang Dong-ik, an acupuncturist from the sunlit Korean medicine clinic. Yang Dong-ik concentrates on creating a popular and sophisticated clinic brand rather than traditional Korean medicine. His one clear aim is to succeed more than Gong Jong-han.

Yang Dong-ik feels hope after meeting Cha Seri, who willingly accepts his inferiority complex and lack of affection, but even this shakes, leading to confusion and betrayal. Attention is also drawn to Kim Hyung-mook’s performance in portraying the story-rich and life-turbulent character of Yang Dong-ik.

On the other hand, So Yi-hyun plays Cha Seri, Yang Dong-ik’s second wife. Cha Seri, whose daily life was filled with poverty, always longed for a ‘different life’, and succeeded in entering the world of the ‘haves’ by marrying the acupuncturist Yang Dong-ik, who lost his wife.

While being the queen of internal affairs, she considers Han Seong-mi a rival upon discovering that her husband liked Han in the past, leading to a war of nerves. The perfectly constructed world of Cha Seri will tremble precariously as secrets unfold, adding a chewy tension to the drama.

The production team of ‘Prescription of Love’ said, “The dramatic stitching of the two families entangled in bad relationships will make the drama rich and ensure the fun of weekend home theater viewers,” adding, “Please watch the exciting acting battle of Kim Seung-soo, Yoo Ho-jung, Kim Hyung-mook, and So Yi-hyun, along with the stories each character holds.”

The new KBS 2TV weekend drama ‘Prescription of Love’, directed by Han Joon-seo, known for his sensuous direction in works like ‘Really Appeared!’, ‘Love is Beautiful Life is Wonderful’, and written by Park Ji-sook, recognized for her solid writing in works like ‘Ok-C Hospital’, ‘Uncle’, and ‘My Spring Day’, is set to air its first episode in January 2026 as a follow-up to ‘Glorious Days’.
