
Actress Kang Han-na expressed her respect and affection for director Yang Woo-suk. On the morning of the 12th, a production briefing for the movie ‘Big Family’ was held at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University entrance in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
In attendance were director Yang Woo-suk, who held the megaphone, as well as actors Kim Yoon-seok, Lee Seung-gi, Kim Sung-ryung, Kang Han-na, and Park Soo-young. On this day, Kang Han-na spoke about her reason for appearing, saying, “I have always liked director Yang Woo-suk’s works.”
She continued, “Reading the script this time, it felt like reading a beautiful novel.” She added, “When you think of director Yang Woo-suk, you might imagine someone strict, solemn, and serious, but he is actually witty and knows everything.”
She described him as “like an encyclopedia” and recalled, “I received a lot of help because he knew so much detailed information that made me wonder, ‘How does he know this?’ ” Kang Han-na said, “I didn’t have that many filming days, but thanks to director Yang Woo-suk, it felt like visiting a big family on a holiday.”
“Director Yang had the warmth of an uncle,” she added, “It felt like meeting family.” Meanwhile, ‘Big Family’ is a family comedy in which the unexpected adorable grandchildren come to visit and cause a surprising cohabitation at Peaceful Dumpling House, run by Ham Moo-ok (Kim Yoon-seok), whose line is cut off because his son Ham Mun-seok (Lee Seung-gi) became a monk.
