Singer Hong Jinyoung revealed a story about a grandson of a chaebol who once approached her.
On the SBS variety show ‘Shoes Off, Single for Men’ aired on the 14th, guests included Hong Jinyoung, Jo Jungchi, Jeong In, and Yoon Hajung.
On this day, Hong Jinyoung started talking about marriage.
Hong Jinyoung said, “When I was younger, the age of forty felt far away. In my twenties, I thought I would be married before forty.” However, she added, “But as time passed, I didn’t feel the desire to get married.”
She continued, “Recently, I received a call from a matchmaking company. It was a famous matchmaking company,” and said, “They said someone among their members wanted to meet me and searched for my contact information.”
This led to speculation that he might not be an ordinary man, and when asked, “Is he from a mid-sized company family?” Hong Jinyoung showed signs of embarrassment but firmly stated, “I didn’t meet him. I hate blind dates the most.”
Lee Sangmin said to Hong Jinyoung, “Haven’t you been approached many times? I heard you were approached by a chaebol’s grandson.” Kim Junho added, “Wasn’t he a grandson from one of the top 10 chaebol families?”
Hong Jinyoung responded, “I don’t know his exact wealth. I had to attend a close older sister’s birthday party. I disliked him because he sat arrogantly in a seat of honor the first time we met.”
She continued, “His posture and expression were arrogant, and he looked at me and said, ‘Who’s she?’ At that moment, he surely knew who I was. I was fully made up, so anyone could see I was Hong Jinyoung. I was really offended,” she confessed.
Hong Jinyoung said, “What I hated the most was when he told me, ‘Be my girl from today,’” and added, “I really hated it. So I thought to myself, ‘What a jerk.’”
