Singer and producer MC Mong sparked controversy by displaying a wall with Adolf Hitler’s portrait.
Recently, MC Mong revealed his interior design with singer Car, the Garden’s ‘Home Sweet Home’ as background music on his social media (SNS). However, it has not been confirmed if the space is inside MC Mong’s residence.
In the published photo, a portrait reminiscent of Adolf Hitler was prominently displayed on the wall next to the staircase leading upstairs.
Hitler is a war criminal of World War II and led the Holocaust by Nazi Germany. Therefore, possessing or publicly displaying portraits of Hitler, a murderer and dictator, on SNS is considered reckless, leading to criticism of MC Mong’s historical awareness.
Initially, Germany and many other countries consider praising Nazis or denying the Holocaust a crime, showing extreme sensitivity to issues related to Hitler and Nazi Germany.
Amidst the controversy, MC Mong has not made any statements and continues to keep his SNS private.
MC Mong, who was ousted from broadcasting due to military service controversy, co-founded Won Hundred Label with Cha Gawon, chairman of Piakr Group, in 2023, serving as the chief producer. However, in July, he announced his sudden decision to study abroad, stepping back from the operation of Won Hundred Label.
He later explained, “Due to severe depression and health deterioration after a surgery, making music became extremely difficult,” and “In order to choose a way to make music longer, I decided to study abroad for my health and personal growth.”
