‘HIdden Face’ Song Seung-heon “Director Kim Dae-woo initially said there was no need for exposure…” [Interview②]

Actor Song Seung-heon shared his honest thoughts on exposure scenes. On the morning of the 15th, an interview with Song Seung-heon, who appeared in the movie ‘Hidden Face’, was held at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul. On this day, Song Seung-heon spoke about the high-level bed scene he portrayed in the film, stating, “(Director Kim Dae-woo) initially said exposure was not necessary.

But later he said, ‘You don’t have to work out, but it would be nice if you had a good body’, and so I jokingly said, ‘Didn’t you say there was no exposure initially?’” In response to questions about the burden of exposure scenes, he mentioned the previous work ‘Obsessed’ he did with Director Kim Dae-woo.

Song Seung-heon said, “Honestly, I wouldn’t have been able to do it from the beginning if it wasn’t for Director Kim Dae-woo’s project.

When you look at the director’s previous works, it’s not exposure for exposure’s sake.” He added, “(In Director Kim Dae-woo’s) works, the situations naturally lead to that, and it’s unavoidable.

He makes the film convincingly.

So I gained confidence and was able to do it comfortably.

The direction is very precise.

He set exactly how far to go,” he recalled. Song Seung-heon said, “When listening to other actors, they say, ‘Do what you think is right.

You can edit after watching it’.

But Director Kim Dae-woo does not allow such things at all.

So there’s trust in him.

I gained courage because of Director Kim Dae-woo,” expressing his trust. Continuing, Song Seung-heon said, “Before the bed scene, the director shows a demonstration with the assistant director.

It is very precise.

Watching that made it difficult for me,” he joked and added with a laugh, “But still, it’s less burdensome than for the actresses.

There’s nothing much to show,” which brought laughter. Meanwhile, ‘Hidden Face’ is a thriller about Seong-jin (Song Seung-heon), who is searching for his missing fiancé Soo-yeon (Jo Yeo-jeong), when Soo-yeon’s subordinate Mi-joo (Park Ji-hyun) appears, and they discover Soo-yeon, whom they thought was gone, trapped in a secretive space close to them, revealing an unmasked truth.
