[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Han Kyung-hee = Artist Henry revealed his music studio.

Henry appeared in the ‘Off Work’ content released through the YouTube channel ‘PDC by PDC’ on the 3rd.

On this day, Henry introduced his studio where music and technology are united. Inspired by an airport conveyor belt, he moved packages with a small conveyor belt. The creative space design, featuring motorized curtains, a sofa, and tables on wheels, was eye-catching.

Henry then expressed his musical convictions by saying, “Without technology, there is no music. The sounds and effects I want require technology.” He also played a piano he designed himself, offering a feast for the ears.

Henry, who revealed collecting instruments as a hobby, showcased his diverse collection of violins. He demonstrated the different sounds each violin produces with a brilliant performance and pointed out the differences by tuning strings delicately.

Deeply researching the composition method of building music by layering sounds through a ‘loop station’, Henry reminisced, “I invested time in connecting instruments and recording to create new music. I kept looking for ways to make good sounds.”

Along with this, Henry’s live stage performance of ‘Believer’ born through the loop station was presented. His passionate performance, filling the stage while playing with his whole body, was thrilling.

Having mastered over 50 instruments, Henry also recalled his childhood, practicing the violin for 5 hours every day.

He shared, “I learned that if you want to do well, you have to invest time. Once you learn one professional skill, you gain know-how. If I think there’s a problem I can’t solve, I quickly admit it and find another way.”

Revealing that he once broke a violin because he didn’t want to learn it, Henry said, “Thanks to the time when I forced myself to do what I hated, I can play like this now. I received my first applause in my life by entering my first competition at the age of 11. Winning first place in that competition gave me a reason to practice the violin and made me like the stage,” talking about his turning point.

Meanwhile, Henry is an all-around musician actively engaging in music, performance, and broadcast activities both domestically and internationally. Recently, he decorated the stage of the global music and art festival ‘SXSW London’, solidifying his position as a global ‘performance powerhouse’.
