“Even if you’re bad with directions, it’s okay,” Son Tae-jin on travel variety show? “An endlessly busy life since debut. I accepted the opportunity for a legitimate travel experience without hesitation.”

[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Kim Ye-eun = Trot prince Son Tae-jin, who joined ENA’s ‘Even if You’re Bad with Directions’, shared the excitement of a ‘legal(?)’ trip.

Especially, he raised expectations by revealing that through this program, he will discover the real human Son Tae-jin, who was famous for his perfect and detailed stage performances.

ENA’s ‘Even if You’re Bad with Directions’ (directed by Gong Dae-han) is a variety show where lost-prone celebrities challenge creator-designed trips. Despite being clumsy in travel, bothered by planning, and having no time, customized theme tours are provided for travelers who want to go out.

However, according to the pre-released teaser video, Son Tae-jin is the only member who strongly insisted, “I am not bad with directions.” But soon, his cluelessness was revealed, causing laughter.

Son Tae-jin also pointed out as a key expectation that viewers could see a much more spontaneous and cheerful ‘Son Tae-jin’ than the one shown on stage.

This is because Son Tae-jin, who prepares so thoroughly on stage that he doesn’t allow the slightest margin, is much closer to ‘P (spontaneous)’ when traveling.

“I tend to move according to the situation rather than planning, and I immerse myself in the local atmosphere and energy. I just roughly search for accommodations or famous restaurants and enjoy the rest by going with the flow,” he said. Therefore, for him, travel is “refreshment given by spontaneity and freedom”.

He embarked on a journey designed by a travel creator through ‘Even if You’re Bad with Directions’. After experiencing a planned trip for the first time, Son Tae-jin exclaimed, “It was a whole new world.”

“Each creator has a different travel style. The experience was truly enjoyable. I encountered places, food, and activities that I would never have known if I searched for them on my own,” he proudly continued.

Above all, “I thought I could explore my own travel preferences this way. Even someone as spontaneous and energetic as me can have a more fulfilling trip if I get the direction right,” was a significant realization.

Furthermore, he was thrilled to get the chance to travel ‘legally(?)’ through the program, as Son Tae-jin confided.

“Since my debut, I’ve been running without a break. Thankfully, every day has been busy and happy, but that meant I had no time to go on a proper trip.” That’s why he decided to appear on the show immediately after receiving the offer.

Especially since Taiwan was the first destination he visited through a brief exchange program during his school days, he also felt nostalgic.

Through these various experiences, Son Tae-jin, who became proficient in five languages, hinted, “I was less scared as communication was possible in the Chinese-speaking regions. Viewers will have the chance to see my subtle intelligence and spontaneity.”

Additionally, with every moment being new due to the travel designer’s customized itinerary, he left a review saying, “It was more comfortable and fun traveling with my travel partner Park Ji-hyun.”

Lastly, Son Tae-jin expressed, “Many people are leading exhaustingly busy lives these days. I hope that by watching ‘Even if You’re Bad with Directions’, viewers can laugh and heal, taking a break from reality.”

Moreover, with the ‘honey’ points of acquiring information on various travel destinations, food, and sights, along with the teaser, “There were moments of awe with cave-like voices resonating in various places in Taiwan. Please make sure to check it on the broadcast,” raising anticipation.

‘Even if You’re Bad with Directions’ will have its first broadcast on October 18th, Saturday at 7:50 PM on ENA. [Photo provided = ENA]
