[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Jung Se-yeon = Lead actor Kim Young-kwang of ‘Eunsoo’s Good Day’ revealed his reason for choosing this project and his unwavering trust in Lee Young-ae.

The new KBS 2TV weekend miniseries ‘Eunsoo’s Good Day’, set to premiere on September 20th, (Directed by Song Hyun-wook / Script by Jeon Young-shin / Produced by Baram Pictures, Slingshot Studio) depicts the dangerous and desperate business log of a parent, Kang Eunsoo, who wants to protect her family, and a double-faced teacher, Lee Kyung, with a bag of drugs they accidentally obtain.

In the drama, Kim Young-kwang plays the character ‘Lee Kyung’, a double-life individual who is a prestigious university student, with charming looks and a cheerful personality working as an after-school art instructor at a middle school, but secretly lives as a famous MD dealing only with VIPs at the famous Gangnam club ‘Medusa’.

Outwardly, he is a well-mannered young man and a warm teacher, but the character is set to intensify the drama by keeping strict boundaries while hiding his inner secrets.

Kim Young-kwang chose this project because “the fact that I could act alongside senior Lee Young-ae was the biggest attraction.”

Regarding his acting chemistry with Lee Young-ae, he stated, “I learned a lot by directly experiencing the senior’s concentration and energy on set. Above all, I was able to shoot comfortably because I could trust the senior,” expressing a strong bond of trust.

Additionally, regarding the most focused aspect of portraying Kyung’s character, Kim mentioned, “Since the character’s appearance and inner thoughts are completely different, I did not make a conscious effort to depict them distinctly, but focused on the emotions that change naturally according to the situation.

The external style change was also a crucial tool to showcase duality,” he explained. Kim Young-kwang, who highlighted ‘double life’ as a representative keyword for portraying Kyung, said, “He lives a life that’s completely different inside and out, and although emotions sometimes ruin situations, there is a desperation to reverse his life.”

Lastly, he recalled, “When I first read the script, I was so curious about where Kyung’s dual life and journey would lead that I couldn’t put it down until the end. He may seem rough and dangerous on the surface, but he is a character with a secret he can’t share with anyone,” adding, “Even if everyone looks fine on the outside, they seem to endure in their way. ‘Eunsoo’s Good Day’ is a work that honestly showcases the invisible weight of life, so I ask for much anticipation,” introducing viewing points for prospective viewers.

The new KBS 2TV weekend miniseries ‘Eunsoo’s Good Day’ will premiere on September 20th (Saturday) at 9:20 PM.
