Actor Bae Doona shared an anecdote about being flustered due to a co-star’s remark during the rehearsal for the movie ‘Virus’.
On the 11th, a video featuring Bae Doona and singer Jang Ki-ha as guests was uploaded on composer Jung Jae-hyung’s YouTube channel ‘Fairy Jae-hyung’. Both are lead actors in the movie ‘Virus’, which was released on the 7th. For Jang Ki-ha, this is his second movie appearance after last year’s ‘Past Lives’, and his first lead role.

In the video, Bae Doona talked about Jang Ki-ha’s performance as an actor on the movie set.
Bae Doona started by saying, “There is a scene where Yeon-woo (Jang Ki-ha’s role) says a line, and I respond.” She continued, “During the rehearsal, after hearing my line, Jang Ki-ha looked at me and said, ‘Are you going to say the line like that?’”
Then Jang Ki-ha, looking uncomfortable, laughed loudly and said, “Doesn’t it seem like I was picking a fight when I say it like that?”
Bae Doona laughed and said, “I’m also very curious. Why did he ask me that?” She added, “He’s the first actor who asked me such a question.”

Regarding this anecdote, Jang Ki-ha said, “I don’t remember,” but explained, “I think I was asking whether the (line) she just said was confirmed while I was preparing my part.”
He continued, “In my mind, I was constantly thinking about how to deliver my line,” and explained, “I didn’t have the mental capacity to explain the intention behind my words.”
Still, Jang Ki-ha apologized by saying, “Senior, I’m sorry,” and added, “Thinking back, it was wrong for a newcomer to ask a veteran, ‘Are you going to say the line like that?’” which elicited laughter.
Bae Doona wrapped up the conversation by saying, “It’s all in the past, so I’m just saying it for laughs.”
